Now samsung A52 has ois,4 years of security updates and 3 years of major updates
2 years of degradation of battery if you buy old flagship. Damn those gamers buying iPhone xr in 2020.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would pick 10nm 845 instead those money making ( G ) series.
Big factor is security updates, even if any OS updates are ended.
Please make your video short within 10 minutes
Mr.arun... do you know tamil (language)
Switched from a Galaxy S8 to an LG K92 5G . Im pretty happy with it. It's bigger than I wanted but I wasn't spending $600 on an S10
2021 midrange now like the poco f3 is comparable to 2020 flagships
Concerning Batteries storage degradation: Nickel-metal-hydride can be stored for 3-5 years. The capacity drop that occurs during storage is partially reversible with priming. Nickel-cadmium stores well. The US Air Force was able to deploy NiCd batteries that had been in storage for 5 years with good recovered capacities after priming. It is believed that priming becomes necessary if the voltage drops below 1V/cell. Primary alkaline and lithium batteries can be stored for up to 10 years with only moderate capacity loss.
the tiny Bug on the Xiaomi 3:45
All I can conclude from watching all your videos is that I wish I could talk like you.
Might all be correct, but I don't buy new phones every 6 months, I keep them at least 2 years, and most of the smartphones don't get updates longer than 2 years, so if I buy a phone that was already released 2 years ago, it high likely doesn't get any more updates.
you should also do this in 2021
2019 flagships vs 2021 midranger
There is also stuff like case availability for budget phones is worse than old flagships.
I'm still using a note8 since it came out and the phone itself is being great! But I'll change to a note with 100% display that's what I'm waiting for
There is a problem though, if you buy a phone from 2018, especially from Nokia, you might not get any more security updates
This day and age, all phones should be good as long as they are name brand. I have the s21, and was just as happy with the note 20 as I am with my s21. I get they are both flags, but, I've looked at some non flags and the specs are up there pretty well.
I picked the 2018 flagships
I still like new mid rangers tho
Still think mi mix 2s is better in many ways to mi mix 3 , and is rather good even for 2020
still rocking a 4 year old moto g5 plus which runs perfectly with the battery lasting 2 days i'll get a moto g 5g plus when mine dies. when one has responsibilities - it's more about needs than wants
who cares about megapixels? sensor area decides everything
Indeed, there are a lot of variables. I learned this the hard way within the last year - going both ways. In one instance, I had purchased a Galaxy S4 (as I myself was using an S7 and was satisfied with the quality) for $50 for an older, non-tech savvy friend, and only months later, the phone became dysfunctional - not a hardware or software issue malfunction, but the phone was simply too old to keep up with network requirements. So I got him a $40 Moto E instead, he's had no problems with it. On the other hand, I had to replace my own S7 because of similar problems, and debated whether to go with the S9 refurb or the slightly less expensive A70 refurb, and I chose the slightly less expensive, only to discover the importance of one particular thing (which he mentions in the video here): optical image stabilization, which I found much to my chagrin that the S9 has, and the A70 doesn't. It is a very big deal. However, it is also a pain to buy another refurb phone, and I just got an Tab S6 (which doesn't seem to have OIS but nonetheless takes sharper photos) so I guess I'll use that. So now I wonder, if I do replace my A70, should I buy the S9 like I intended or aim higher, like for the Note 9? But then the Note 9 has its issues, and the Note Ultra 21 is SO much better (but also out of my price range), so then do I wait two years to get the Ultra, or take the leap with the Note 9? Right now, I'm just enjoying the Tab S6, which is so much better than the Fire tablets I've used as stop-gaps since my Tab S (yeah, 2014) battery died last year, so much better than the Tab S too. (But then should I have gotten the 5se or the full 8GB S6? once again, I split the difference and got the S6 6GB)
Lol Watching this even i wont be able to buy any of them
Remake?
Camera go brr
Bro u get a full day use?
I went from an S7 to A71, initially it was okay but quickly realised major flaws here and there. Playing COD mobile BR was always crashing on the lowest graphic levels. Forced me to upgrade to S21 Ultra which I can honestly see myself using for 3 years like I did with the S7.
Nothing beats IP68 for me.
Please do the same topic but with newer versions❤️
"Chunky bezels"... we are becoming phone an0re×ic
I need my phone to be glass *puts plastic case on it
If only this was made in 2021
Flagship is flagship and flagship never gets old
True
he always has the right words to tell the difference between...
But my mi 9t pro was less than $400 last year.
Does this also work with the OnePlus Nord and the OnePlus 7 Pro?
An old guy with a lot experience or new fresh graduate guy with huge energy but less experience. Your choise.
I prefer thin symmetrical bezels like Samsung used to do with the S8/S9 the LG V30 etc. They really don't get in the way and give enough room to pack all the sensors and camera plus the possibility of front firing speakers. I can live with the punch hole but I absolutely refuse to buy a phone with a notch.
2018= 4GB RAM. SAME PRICE. 2021: SAME PRICE 8GB + 5G
Love you bro...
I still use my Galaxy S9 and even 2.5 years after it's realease, it is still better than a lot of current mid range smartphones on the market. I only had to change the charging port and since i did it myself, it costed me 5€ lmao. If you can change a battery on your own, then buy an older flagship smartphone !
others: old flagship or new midrange? me who's broke like hell: old midrange or new budget phone?
:(
I tried comparing my galaxy s9plus with 2020 flagships. I felt like I am downgrading in terms of features and accessories, except for a slightly better camera and a new battery
Hi! I really enjoy your videos and right now I'm actually torn between getting the old Galaxy note 10+ vs the newer Xiaomi mi 10t pro. Right now, the Galaxy is still a bit more expensive but I wanna get your advise if it's possible. Which one should I get that will give me more value and better experience overall that I might be able to use for a few years. Hope you see my comment. Thank you in advance!
Note 10 plus
NOW POCO F3 DESTROY EVRYONE
Galaxy a71 isn't a cheap phone😐
OIS kills whatever shitty 64 mp sensor (trimmed to 12mb)
well, that settles it.I' m getting S9+ and not the new A52- .....assuming the inevitable m52 didn' t have the same specs as A52 except the only improvement is the battery.
You have loads of phones. Do you then just sell them after using them for a week or a month. I'd like to buy one of these for my daily usage. And I'm based in UK. Anyway I can connect with you?😊
that's a dilema I've been going through
I was chosing which phone I wanted to buy since my Iphone SE died. And I asked myself the same question as in the video. I was torn between whether I wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy A80 or the OnePlus 7T. They were both around $350 but I decided on they OnePlus for the better screen refresh rate and performance. In the end I think I made the right decision since I'm really happy with it even though it's a year and a half old.
"You'd expect to get more stuff in the box with a flagship phone" That aged like milk lmfao
You destroyed apple and samsung holy cow
Ahhh man that was ruuuude xD
where's oneplus 6 it was Flagship too?
I remember having this same dilemma.
Honestly I think I'd go the old Samsung phone or the old Xiaomi
took the risk of a custom rom on my s4 nothing went wrong and a charging bug git ixed from the original firmware
It also would have been kind of cool if you include the iPhone SE 2nd Gen in this. I would love to see it get smashed by the others. 😂
Just finished the video and figured out that he can’t include iPhones
The fixed hook holoprosencephaly cross because deficit adversely bat versus a wistful venezuela. near, acoustic processing
if i had 400 dollars i would get an s10
Can February March? No, But April May.
Can u please make a video regarding a 2019 flagship vs 2021 mid ranger? I'm stuck between the S10 5G and A72
Talk abt the galaxy a 80
Well I don't buy phones for taking pictures just for playing games so I guess old flagships are the ones for me
Wish you used the s9+ instead up to now I still think it was one of the best designs phones ever it's just neat
Literally everybody while watching 7:00 : Higher MP gives higher camera quality ! Applefanboys : NoOooOOooOOOoooOOO 12mp is wa^YyY bEtTeR tHaN 128mP 128 is UsElESss
This is exactly what I thought of when purchasing a brand new Motorola g7 plus which I could buy for $46.
Suggest me some good older flagships between $200-$300 please Aron !!!
2018-19 flagship or samsung s20 fe?
As a student, my sights are nowhere near flagships. Unless they are used, or 3 years obsolete.
Fuck you all, I'm rocking my iPhone 12 mini 😁 Jk I love u guys, but I love my iPhone as well ✌🏻
My moto g 7's battery life embarrasses my s21. Samsung pisses me off with their battery capacity. I know damn good and well they could've fit a larger battery into the s21, even if they had to make the dimensions a tiny bit larger. I was using that motorola as a temporary phone while I waited on the next gen reviews. This was the year I almost switched to iphone but they do the same shit, but even worse than samsung. Sure, the iphone manages to get respectable battery life, especially considering their capacity but once again I know apple could've fit a larger battery into their phone. The iphone looked really good initially on their battery life but real world use was a bit different than the testing done on the youtube videos.
👍
Do a 2016 flagship vs a 2021 budget phone
He should make this video again.. for 500$ you get the best snapdragon 888 chipset.. Absolutely insane.
I had my note 9for 2 going on 3 years, it has a little crack and works great. When I eventually get a new phone I gonna try 9pro one plus.
well !! if you have 400$ i dont so
You forgot a crucial parameter: If you buy today a 2018 phone, means that the battery is 3 years old , nomatter if it's used or not .
But the galaxy a71.... does have OIS.
And I have shaky hands
But i use one and it has some stability without EIS turned on...
@Ashish Saxena really?
No, it doesn’t
I always bought old flashship phone 🤣
I had that struggle Last month. A71 pr S9+ I got the S9+ cuz its a so much better experience. 180€ and i got a very good phone (with a SINGLE crack in the Display)
I have le A21 and its got 4 cameras, was released in 2019 and le sound quality is amazing. My 32 GB one was like £200. The one I got has glass too lol
I knows its difficult to answer this in your profession but please tell which mobile company is best for budget mobiles.
Whatever you do don't buy from nokia. Just get a samsung a series in your budget.

I have mi 10 t...best phone
Hey Arun, I was thinking that maybe you could do this every year, matching the current year's midrange phones against the flagships from 2 years ago to see how they would match agaimst each other. Kinda hoping you'd do this.😊
u call these shits flagships ?? the only flagship phones are the note 2 & galaxy s3
i cant believe the time has come where $400 is considered cheap
0:11
It’s always good luck when u buy these cheap Chinese phones lol
Yes you get good luck when you buy a cheap chinese phone. But with an old flagship, you need good luck.
hi fi
Watching this video on A20e, for me enought. Before a20e, i use to have Iphone 11 pro. Because my material/economy situation, i sell it. I didn't have chance to use full ability of 11 pro, because i use phone only for calls, sms, e mail, texting applications, and youtube. Iphone 11 pro was something amazing for me, battery, display, and camera :) Still i think that real price for that device is around 500eur, not 1350eur.
Thanks for this and all of your videos
Burr burr burrr burrr ....... burr
I have a a71 and it is a good phone
What should i buy a used galaxy s8 plus/galaxy s9 Or a new xiaomi redmi not 9
I have been waiting for a video like this. I definitely want to see a video that does this with Televisions!!!
